Surgery Hours
Monday – Friday 8 am – 6.30 pm.
Saturday morning – closed.
We open 2 late evenings each
week to accommodate our patients who are working and find difficulty with
visiting the surgery during the daytime.
Please see our Notice Board in Waiting Rooms to obtain the days we work late.
How To See The Doctor
Consultations are by appointment which can be made in person or by telephone
during surgery hours. You may consult any of the doctors but it's probably
beneficial to keep to one who knows you best. The receptionist will offer you
the next available appointment but please let her know if you feel the problem
is urgent, and we will do our best to see you at short notice.
If you can't keep an appointment, please let us know so that we can offer it to
someone else.
Telephone Consultations
You can request a telephone consultation with a GP –
the receptionist can take your details and the GPs will ring you back to discuss
your concerns.
What To Do When The Surgery Is Closed
For urgent medical problems, please telephone: SOUTHPORT 501500 and a recorded
message will tell you the phone number of the doctor on call. The practice uses
the On Call Centre, Integrated Care Sefton, which is based at Southport District General Hospital.
They are available Weekdays from 6.30 pm – 8am and from 6.30 pm on Friday night
until 8am Monday mornings.
Home Visits
If you can't come to the surgery, please try and request your home visit before
10.30am so we can plan our day. It helps us to judge the urgency of calls if you
can describe your symptoms so please expect to be asked. If possible, please
come to the surgery. We can see four patients there in the time it takes to see
one at home.
